The Canadian College and University Fair (CCUF) runs November 6 and 7, 2020, bringing schools from across Canada and around the world straight to your digital doorstep. Big in-person fairs used to be common, providing a way to connect students and schools. Now, it’s easier than ever to get the program and scholarship info you need! CCUF brings a world of education to you.

Why should I attend a virtual education fair?

You should attend this online education fair if you’re thinking about the next step for your education — whether it’s your first degree or diploma after high school, you’re considering master’s level studies, or you’re even wondering what a gap year might be like. CCUF will host booths and presentations to help you make the right decisions for your career, your education, and your future.

Some presentation topics include:

  • Finding and applying for scholarships
  • Submitting a strong application for competitive programs
  • Career paths of the future
  • And many more!

Not only will CCUF feature experts who can help you get the answers you need, you’ll be able to chat with fellow students, too. Jump on video or text chat with others in the same program area or location and you’ll be networking before you even set foot on campus.

What do I do at an online education fair?

Your number one goal at a virtual education fair should be to ask as many good questions as you can. In doing so, you’ll meet representatives from different schools, as well as fellow students interested in the same things you are. Connecting with others who share your interests is more critical now than ever, so don’t be shy.

To prepare, think about your hobbies, preferences, and especially your goals. What sort of campus environment would best suit you? School reps can help you answer these big questions, provide context, and offer food for thought.

Some good questions to ask school reps:

  • What are your school’s areas of expertise?
  • What sort of financial aid do you offer new students?
  • Can credits be transferred between your school and others?

Some good questions to ask fellow students:

  • What’s the most interesting school or program you’ve seen so far?
  • How far from home do you want to travel for school?
  • What’s the most unusual student club you’ve seen?

You’re sure to think of many more questions as you get ready for the fair — and even more once you’re logged in!

What else does a virtual fair offer?

One of the most exciting parts of any education fair is the giveaway! CCUF is no exception. One lucky student attendee of the Canadian College and University Fair will win $7,500! That’s enough for a year of tuition in most programs. To enter, just register for CCUF and attend on November 6 or 7. You’ll be entered into a draw to win $7,500!

Education fairs, online or in-person, aim to connect you with the right school and program. Fairs give you insight into program requirements, campus life, and scholarship opportunities, and let you chat directly with the school reps who will help guide your educational journey — not to mention the fellow students you can meet and chat with. There are plenty of reasons to attend the virtual CCUF education fair, even leaving aside the $7,500 grand prize!
